About Us
Paideia (pu-dye-'uh) creates and sells communication products that educate about citizenship and communicate progessive values to inform and inspire citizen participation that will build a more just and peaceful world.
ProgressiveValues.org is a newly developing nonprofit organization whose mission is to define and articulate progressive values with the political and social change movement.
We envision Paideia creating standard and customized products that non-profit organizations can sell to raise money or give away to advance their mission. This will bring more money into the progressive movement instead of competing for a limited pool of contributions.
Personal Statement Doing what I can to save and renew our endangered American democracy is my promise to all of our grandchildren. I have gradually come to realize I must work to defend America through words and action as my grandfather, father and brother did by risking their lives fighting in wars, and as our sons and daughters are doing in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the world today. I'm trying to support my activism through creating and selling new media like calendars, books and cards that educate about citizenship and communicate progessive values to inform and inspire citizen participation. Purchase of products or connecting me with anyone who might help with financing, distribution and publicity will be enormously appreciated.
We must walk on in the days ahead with an audacious faith in the future...the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Business model ProgressiveValues.org and EducatingForCitizenship.com are projects of Paideia LLC, founded and owned by Phyllis Stenerson, and located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The site was originally called WiseThoughts.com when it began as broad based progressive philosophy. Since the direction of America went so seriously askew following 9/11/01, the purpose has become to articulate and communicate a progressive worldview focused on politics and spirituality. A non-profit organization, ProgressiveValues.org, is being developed to actively participate in the progressive movement.

David Lebedoff, attorney, political activist and author who most recent book is "Uncivil War, how a new elite is destroying our democracy"
